It is official!!!

WE ARE ENGAGED!!

Dylan and I started dating in May 2005 and we have FINALLY made it official!! We met in College Station while working at The Tap. Working there was one of the best decisions I made! I met my love AND made some very close lifetime friends! Dylan and I moved in together in 2006. During the Fall of 2007, we took a short break from each other but both knew that we had made a mistake. I believe that time made our relationship stronger and helped us to appreciate each other even more! We found out in April of 2008 that we were expecting our first baby together! January 2009, our twosome became a threesome!! Oh wait, that doesn't sound right..... Ummm we became a family of 3!! Everyone expected that when we found out about Brooklyn, we would rush off and get married. I just didn't feel like we needed to get married because we were expecting. It's just not my style. I wanted to do things in our own time. We wanted to give our complete attention to becoming parents! The time has now come!! Dylan AND Brooklyn (she held the ring) asked me to become Tara Blanchard on December 18th in our living room. My Mom, Brother and Jessica were all there. It was perfect! Well, Dyl could have warned me so that we wouldn't have been in bumming clothes for those action shots but it's okay :) I knew that Dylan had picked up my ring the week before so it was nearly impossible for him to surprise me. And I admit, I was searching the house like a madwoman for those few days. I told him that if he tried to take me anywhere I would know what was happening, so he surprised me when I was wearing sweatpants!! Ha. Now it is time to start planning our wedding!! I am so excited to finally marry my other half. 2009 has been a fabulous year!

6 Steps & Walking.....

Almost. She has taken 6 steps two different times now. It is not going to be long!! I am not ready for this whole walking thing. That means
1. My little baby is getting SO BIG. I guess I need to start saying "toddler". :(.
2. She is going to be into things even more than now! (As I type, she is pulling out every DVD under the entertainment center)

I am off to chase her and hopefully catch some shots of her "walking"!!

SNOW and Shopping......

Brookyln got to see snow this year!! I was saying not long ago that I wish she could see real snow on her first Christmas and though it came a little early, she still got to see it! She was so curious about it too. She was watching the snowflakes land on her and trying to figure out what in the world was going on. She was not a happy camper when we came back inside.

Though I am almost finished with Christmas shopping, I still have made zero progress on our holidays cards and her birthday party plans! Ugh. Im so scatterbrained sometimes. It is a bit ridiculous.

Don't tell Dylan, but I am really pumped about spending the day tomorrow shopping with just Brooklyn!! Why do guys even tag along when they really do not enjoy shopping? They don't understand why we like to go into stores and just browse around without having something in mind that we are after! He really enjoys going if it is for something for him but if not then forget it! And forget eating lunch while shopping. Once his little belly is full its ALL OVER! You can find him either complaining to me or sitting on the nearest bench looking miserable, usually next to some other guy who feels he is being tortured. They should have just stayed home and sat on the couch, remote in hand. Anyhow, happy shopping day!

I would really appreciate if December would slow down a bit! It is already December 3rd! That means only 22 days until Christmas and 34 until Brooklyn turns 1!!! OMGoodness. I havent found her stocking yet. I havent finished her Christmas shopping. I havent planned her Bday party. No Christmas cards ready. No invitations sent out..... What the crap. I need to get it together FOR REAL. Im not sure what to do for her Bday party here in Houston. I only have a few friends with little ones so it is going to be more like an excuse to get together with my friends and family and of course presents and cake! I can not believe my baby is growing so fast. SLOW DOWN!!

We put the tree up last night and so far she hasn't gone near it! She is more interested in the snowmen decorations around the house and the wrapping paper. Today while I was wrapping gifts, she climbed into her tent and was very quiet (which of course means she up to something). I looked in and sure enough she was eating wrapping paper. She gave me a big ol' 6 tooth/red wrapping paper smile! Where was my camera??? I bet I will see more of that paper later in her diaper.

Okay I must get some things done..... I shall return with more pictures!
